We celebrate the first anniversary of the Pipe Organ Taxonomy project with a map featuring the 50 instruments presented from the beginning of June 2014 to the last week of May 2015. One year later this map sums the location and organbuilding schools where each of the instrument belongs, based on the organ case, not on the instrumental part.
Some of the instruments are still in classification process, including some instruments in Central Europe and several instruments in Poland, which maybe can be split into several regions and better studied with a more careful look.
We hope to continue this project, with the support of our readers, which have been continuously interested in the development of this idea. We are open to suggestions, questions and comments, as always!
