The Pipe Organ Taxonomy project was created with the intention of exploring the evolution and characteristics of organ cases from several organbuilding regions in Europe, trying to understand the relationships between the construction of organs and different themes such as music, visual arts, sculpture, culture and society.

With this website, we intend to provide an ever-growing database of pipe organs that can not only serve as a basis for the project, but that can also be a visual inventory of important pipe organs around the world, with special focus on Europe until the 19th century.
